Not "a good height for most people". Seat height from published popliteal-height percentiles, maximum seat depth from buttock-popliteal length, stool height from sitting elbow-rest height. One module produces all of them, so the site cannot contradict itself, and the source is named so you can check it.
Every figure comes from a lookup against the retailer, carries the date it was verified, and disappears after 48 hours rather than sitting on the page going stale. Where there is no live price you get "check price", never a remembered number.
Not a hedge at the end - a required field on every product in our registry. And every roundup names at least one pick we recommend against, with the spec-based reason, because a shortlist with no exclusions is a catalog.
When a manufacturer does not publish a seat height, a capacity or a warranty term, we print that. Two otherwise-interesting stools sit on an excluded list for exactly this reason, and on several pages the missing figure is the most useful paragraph.
